Running a tattoo or piercing studio on BookAppointment
Age verification, consent forms, aftercare instructions and a portfolio gallery — set up for studios. · Updated 30/07/2026
Tattoo and piercing studios get a few extras tuned for the trade.
Age & ID verification
Require ID verification (manual or automated via Stripe Identity) on any 18+ service so nobody can book without proof of age — see "Set up age & ID verification".
Consent and intake forms
Add a consent form as an intake field on your tattoo or piercing services (health conditions, allergies, medications, a signature and confirmation checkbox). Customers complete it before their appointment; artists see the signed record on the booking.
Aftercare instructions
Use intake fields or a dedicated section on your website to publish standard aftercare instructions, and consider sending them automatically as a follow-up notification after the appointment.
Portfolio gallery
Showcase healed and fresh work with the Gallery section on your website — grid layout, captions, and reorderable images. Before/after pairs work well for cover-ups.
Deposits and cancellations
Custom pieces are time-intensive to book around — turn on deposits (all bookings, or flagged customers only) to protect your chair time from late cancellations and no-shows.
