Your account number and support PIN
How BookAppointment support checks it's really you before talking about your account. · Updated 28/09/2026
To keep your business safe, our support team checks who you are before discussing billing, settings or anything else about your account.
Where to find them
In your business admin, click Support ID at the top of the page. You'll see:
- Account number (for example BA-104001). Everyone on your team can see it.
- Support PIN, a 6-digit number. Only the owner and admins can see or change it.
You can choose your own PIN or have a random one made. Please pick a PIN that's hard to guess.
How it's used in live chat
If you're chatting with us about your account, we may ask you to confirm it's you. A secure box appears in the chat. Type your account number and PIN into it. Our team never sees your PIN, only whether it matched.
We can also email a 6-digit code to the address you sign in with instead.
After 5 wrong attempts, verification is paused for 15 minutes.
Who can talk to us about your account
The owner and admins can by default. For other staff logins, go to Team → Access and tick Can contact BookAppointment support about this account. Staff who don't have this can still ask us how-to questions.
We will never ask for your password or your PIN by email or phone.
