Importing layouts, menus and parent pages
Retain source sections, review separate menus and organise child pages. · Updated 21/10/2026
I provide Move my website across under Website. Re-read the source website to use the latest import improvements. Header and footer links are copied separately, including grouped links.
Parent pages
Open a page in the website builder, choose Parent page in page settings, and save. Child pages appear beneath the parent in the page list and automatic menu. Existing page URLs do not change. A page cannot be its own parent or be placed under its descendants.
Original sections
Where source styles are available, original sections retain their markup and styles in isolated views. The section editor includes readable original HTML and CSS; standard BookAppointment sections can be added alongside them. Recognised slides, scrolling carousels, category filters and disclosures use reviewed interactions without copying scripts.
Draft appearance
Imported menus, footer, logo and colours stay private in draft previews. Publishing the homepage applies this appearance and imported page relationships; publish individual page drafts separately. Old-address rules are staged until homepage publication.
Limitations
Scripts, forms and embedded third-party booking widgets are not copied. Maps, newsletter signup and unrecognised behaviours may need rebuilding. Images may still depend on the source host. Compare all pages, desktop and mobile menus, footer links and booking destinations before publishing. Selecting only some pages may leave source links pointing to pages you did not import.
