Adding a news or blog page to your website
Switch on a news page, write and publish posts, add photos and tags, and show your latest posts on your home page. · Updated 11/09/2026
A news page is a simple way to post offers, seasonal advice, new team members or price changes — and it gives search engines fresh pages to find you by.
Switch it on
1. Go to Website → News posts 2. Turn News page on 3. Change the menu label if you'd rather it said "Blog", "Offers" or "Advice"
A link appears in your website menu and footer straight away, and your posts live at /blog on your own website address. You can also open Articles directly beside Pages in the Website builder.
Write a post
1. Press New post 2. Add a title — the web address is filled in for you from it 3. Write your post. Use ## at the start of a line for a heading and - for bullet points 4. Add a cover photo if you have one; it's used on the card and when the link is shared 5. Add a short summary and tags so visitors can filter your posts 6. Save as a draft, then press Publish when you're happy
Drafts are never visible to visitors. You can pick one post as featured so it sits at the top of the page.
Show posts on your home page
In Website → Pages, add the News block to any page. It shows your most recent posts as cards with a link through to the full list.
Search engines
Each post has its own search title and description under Search settings in the editor. Published posts are added to your website's sitemap automatically, and there's a feed at /blog/feed.xml for anyone who follows sites that way.
Your posts are yours alone
Posts, photos and settings are stored against your business only. No other business using BookAppointment can see or edit them.
