Messaging customers and handling enquiries
Message anyone from their record or from a booking, and work through the enquiries that come in from your website. · Updated 11/09/2026
Messaging a customer
Open a customer and press Message, or open an appointment and press Message there.
Choose how it goes out:
- In their account — appears when they sign in.
- Email — sent with your logo and colours.
- Text — uses your text sender and one message credit.
Replies come back to the same place, so the whole conversation stays on the customer or the booking. Nobody sees your personal number.
Enquiries from your website
Anything sent through your contact form lands under Enquiries. Each one can be marked New, In progress, Replied or Closed, and you reply straight from the enquiry — the customer gets your reply by email.
Tips
- Messages tied to an appointment are the ones to use for “running 10 minutes late” — they're kept with that booking for reference.
- Text messages use credits, email doesn't. Top up under Billing.
- Someone who has opted out of marketing still receives these — they're about their own appointment, not promotion. Keep offers to email campaigns.
