Import your existing customer list
Bring customers over from a spreadsheet — names, contact details and marketing preferences in one upload. · Updated 30/07/2026
If you're moving from another system or a spreadsheet, you can bulk-import your customer list instead of adding people one by one.
Steps
- Go to App › Customers › Import.
- Download the CSV template so your columns line up correctly (name, email, phone, tags, marketing opt-in, notes, and more).
- Fill it in and upload — up to 5,000 rows per import.
- Review the summary: how many will be created, how many matched an existing customer and were updated, and any rows that were skipped with a reason.
What happens to matches
- If a row matches an existing customer (by email or phone), their record is updated rather than duplicated.
- New rows create a customer profile; if you've asked us to, they're also flagged as needs re-invite so you can send them a "set your password" email later, in your own time.
After importing
Use Re-invite campaigns (see the next article) to invite imported customers to create an online account, and check App › Customers to confirm everything landed correctly.
