Set up the AI chat assistant on your website
Switch on the chat bubble, control what it knows, let it take bookings, and read past conversations. · Updated 06/09/2026
The chat assistant adds a chat bubble to your own website. It answers questions using only your business's real information — services, prices, team, opening hours — and can take bookings if you let it. It needs the Pro or Business plan.
Switch it on
Open Website > Chat assistant in your admin. Toggle it Live, give it a name and greeting, pick a tone of voice, and save. Then copy the snippet shown and paste it before the closing </body> tag of your website — the bubble appears on every page.
What it knows
It reads your live services, prices, team, hours and closures automatically, so it never goes stale. Use Extra knowledge for anything else: parking, cancellation policy, what to bring, accessibility. If it doesn't know something, it says so instead of guessing.
Bookings
With bookings on, it checks your real availability (including time off, closures and buffers), confirms the details with the customer, takes their name, phone number and email, and creates a confirmed booking. If you've switched Guest checkout off in Settings > Booking rules, it asks the customer to sign in or register on your booking page instead. Services that need forms, patch tests or ID checks are sent to your booking page instead. Turn this off if you only want questions answered.
Handover
When it can't help, it can create an enquiry in your Enquiries inbox with the customer's details, and share your phone number and email. Both are optional switches on the settings page.
Conversations and limits
Every chat is saved — open any row under Recent conversations to read the full transcript. Each plan has a monthly conversation cap, shown at the top of the page; when it's reached the assistant politely points customers to your contact details until the next month.
