Block out lunch and other regular breaks
Stop bookings landing on lunch by setting a repeating break for yourself or anyone on the team. · Updated 12/09/2026
A regular break blocks the same time every day, or on one weekday, so it can never be booked.
Setting one for yourself
Go to My settings → Regular breaks. Enter a start and end time (for example 13:30 to 14:00), give it a name such as "Lunch", and leave Repeat every day on. Save and you're done.
Turn Repeat every day off if the break only happens on, say, a Thursday.
Setting one for someone else
Owners and managers go to Services & staff → Team, find the person and press Breaks. Everything works the same way.
What customers see
Nothing. The break simply isn't offered as a booking time — online, in the booking assistant, or in your diary's free slots.
Pausing a break
Each break has a switch. Turn it off to work through it for a while and back on later, without losing the setting.
Breaks or time off?
- Regular break — happens every week: lunch, a school run, cashing up
- Time off — a one-off date range: holiday, training, an appointment
Adding a break doesn't cancel appointments that are already in the diary for that time. Check the day and ring anyone affected.
