Selling and using gift cards

Create gift cards, sell them online or at the counter, and take them off a customer's bill. · Updated 12/10/2026

Gift cards live under Services → Gift cards. They're included on Starter, Pro and Business.

Create the gift cards you sell

Add fixed amounts (like £25 or £50), a "choose an amount" option (£5–£500), or a voucher for a specific service. Each one can expire after a set number of months — 12 months is usual in the UK — or never.

Selling online

Your website gets a Gift cards page at /gift-cards. Add the Gift cards block in the website builder to show them on any page too. Buyers pay by card through your connected Stripe account, and can send the card to someone else with a message and a delivery date. The email carries your logo and branding.

Selling at the counter

Use Sell or give a gift card at the counter. Untick "Customer has paid" for a free or complimentary card. You'll get the code to write on a card, and we email it if you add an email address.

Using a gift card

  • Online: customers enter the code at checkout. It comes off the deposit or the full payment, and anything left stays on the card.
  • In person: type the code into Use a gift card, check the balance, and take off the amount.
  • If a booking paid with a gift card is cancelled, the money goes back on the card automatically.

Keeping track

The top of the page shows how much is still to be spent across all live cards (what you owe in services), what you've sold this month and what's been used. You can resend or cancel any card. Refunds made in Stripe cancel the card automatically.
