Two-step sign-in now works by text message, not just an authenticator app
Staff and owners can now get their 6-digit sign-in code by text instead of using an authenticator app — and if you have both, you pick which to use each time you sign in.

Choose how you confirm it's you
Two-step sign-in protects owner and admin accounts, but authenticator apps aren't for everyone. From today you can get your 6-digit code as a text message instead.
- Only an authenticator app set up? We ask for that code, as before.
- Only text messages set up? We text you a code the moment you sign in.
- Both set up? You pick which one to use, every time.
Sent from your business name
If your business has its own text sender name, sign-in codes go out from that name, so they look like the rest of your messages. Everyone else's codes come from BookAppointment.
Codes last 10 minutes, can only be used once, and are limited to a few requests at a time to keep accounts safe.
Turning it on
Go to Your account → Security, choose Set up text-message codes, enter your mobile number and confirm the code we text you. You can remove the number again from the same page at any time.
Also fixed
Some people on a phone saw a blank screen after entering their code. You're now always taken back to the page you were heading for.
