We've shipped public ideas board, smart duplicate matching and a news page to every BookAppointment account — no upgrade, no setup fee, and nothing to install. Here's exactly what changed and how to start using it.
What's new
- As you type a feature request we now search everything already asked for and suggest close matches — back an existing idea with one tap instead of raising a duplicate.
- New public ideas board at /feature-requests: every idea customers agreed to share, with vote counts, our reply and its status (under review, planned, being built, shipped or not planned). Filter by status and sort by most wanted or newest.
- One vote per person per idea, whether signed in or just browsing.
- New News page at /news with an article for every feature we've shipped — written in plain English, with the release date, what changed and how to switch it on. Built for search: canonical links, article structured data and every article listed in the sitemap.
- Platform admin can add a request themselves (for ideas that came in by phone), show or hide any request on the public board, see its vote count, and copy a ready-made article brief for the news page.
- News and the ideas board are now linked from the site menu and footer, and from your dashboard's Request a feature page.
Why it matters
Every release we ship comes from real UK businesses telling us what slows their day down. This one lands in the parts of the system you already use, so there's no new tool to learn — open your dashboard and it's there.
How to start using it
- Sign in to your BookAppointment dashboard.
- Look for the new options described above — they're switched on for every plan.
