Connect your own systems: API keys and webhooks

Business accounts can now plug BookAppointment straight into their own website, CRM or back-office system — read and create bookings, and get told the moment anything changes.

Plenty of businesses already run software they rely on: a website they built themselves, a CRM full of customers, a spreadsheet the office lives by. From today, Business accounts can connect all of it to BookAppointment.

Keys you control

Open API & webhooks in your admin and create a key for each system that needs one. You name it, and you tick exactly what it's allowed to do — read appointments, create appointments, see your services, see your team. Nothing more. If a key is ever misplaced, revoke it and the access stops immediately.

We only keep a scrambled copy of every key, so you'll be shown the real one once, at the moment you create it.

Read and create appointments

Your systems can pull the day's diary, filter by date or status, and create new appointments with the right service, person and branch. Double bookings are rejected the same way they are on your own booking page, so nothing slips through.

Told the moment something changes

Add a webhook and we'll send a message to your own address whenever a booking is made, changed, cancelled or paid for, or a new customer appears. Every message is signed so your system can prove it came from us, and there's a test button plus a delivery history so you can see exactly what we sent and what came back.

Getting started

API access and webhooks are part of the Business package. There's a step-by-step guide in the help centre, and the address list and signing details are printed right on the page in your admin.
