Sunbed booking without picking staff, plus minute bundles

Tanning studios work differently from salons, and now BookAppointment does too.

Book the bed, not the person

Sunbed sessions now skip the "choose a team member" step. Customers pick a time and are put on the next free bed. Spray tans and other treatments still let customers choose who looks after them.

Every bed gets at least 3 minutes between sessions so your team can wipe down and hand out goggles.

Minute bundles that count down

Sell bundles like 60, 100 or 200 minutes, online or at the counter.

• A 6-minute session takes 6 minutes from the bundle.
• If the customer cancels, the minutes go back.
• If they don't have enough left, they simply pay for that session.

Customers see their minutes left when they book, on their account page and on the new Minutes page, where they can top up by card.

Safer tanning

Sunbed sessions can't be booked within 24 hours of each other, following UK sunbed guidance, and 18+ checks still apply.

How to set it up

1. Go to Services & team → Sunbeds & minutes and add your beds.
2. Add your minute bundles and prices.
3. Edit each sunbed service, switch on Sunbed session (no staff needed) and enter the minutes on the bed.
4. Add a Minutes link to your website menu so customers can buy bundles online.
